| Nancy Maruyama is qualified for her job in a way no mother would ever want to be.
As executive director of education and community outreach for Sudden Infant Death Services of Illinois, she can relate to clients because she lost her first child to the condition. Brendan, an otherwise healthy baby boy, died from SIDS while in the care of a baby sitter. Maruyama began her work with SIDS of Illinois as a volunteer in 1986, shortly after Brendan\\\'s death. more...
